Lushr Indigo Powder is pure Indigofera Tinctoria — the botanical dye that, combined with Henna, produces natural black and dark brown hair colour without a single synthetic chemical. It is the Ayurvedic two-step hair colour system that has been used across South Asia for centuries.

Indigo alone produces a blue-green tone, but applied over Henna-treated hair, it reacts to create rich, natural black or dark brown shades depending on timing and ratio. It covers greys completely, adds depth to natural colour, and conditions the hair cuticle rather than stripping it — the opposite of ammonia-based dyes.

For black: apply Henna first, rinse, then apply Indigo for 1 hour. For dark brown: mix Henna and Indigo together and apply in one step. Rinse with water only. No shampoo for 24 hours after to allow colour to set.
